DNS Propagation is the process by which the computers on the Internet update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site name(s). When this is complete, your domain name can be accessed and recognized on the Internet.
Propagation can take place in two ways:
Changes to your WHOIS information:
The WHOIS is the master record that tells every DNS Server in the world which is the authoritative server for your domain. A change in the nameservers for your domain is a change in your WHOIS information. Such a change typically takes from 24-72 hours to propagate fully.
Changes to your DNS Zone.
A change to your DNS Zone information typically affects only a couple of servers, and is therefore done much faster. _________________ HostOnNet.com - Reseller Hosting
