Expired Domain Names

Versign has again changed the system to allow a 30 day "redemption
period" after the normal 45 day "On Hold" period following a
domain's expiration date...

However Versign charges the Registrars an additional $85 to recover a domain name during the Redemption period].

Since renewing a domain in redemption period involves manual work, registrars charge $100 to renew domain name during redemption period.
