Domain Name Redirection

You can redirect your domain name to free hosting providers such as geocities.com, tripod.com, etc..

So you will get www.YourName.com instead of

http://www.geocities.com/yourname/

or

http://members.tripod.com/yourname/

With Domain Redirection, you can host your web site on Free Space. Most Free Hosting providers put there advertisement on your web site. There are a few hosts that won't put there advertisement on your web site. But we can't say they will provide the service for ever.

To redirect your domain name to Free Hosting Account,

Create a Free Account with http://www.zoneedit.com

www.zoneedit.com Provide Free DNS Management facility. You can host upto 5 domains with them free of cost.

The ZoneEdit.com sign up URL is

http://www.zoneedit.com/signup.html?

Click on the link and fill the form in the next page and submit.

You will get mail with Zoneedit.com user id and password in the email address you provided.

Login to ZoneEdit.com at

http://www.zoneedit.com/auth/

After login to your account, you have to add your domain. For adding new domain click "Add Zones" link at the top.

In the next page, enter your domain name and click submit. ZoneEdit will now give you the Name Servers to use with the domain name.

Login to your domain control panel and change name server to the name servers provided by ZoneEdit.com

Wait 24 to 48 Hours to get the new Domain Name Server propogate.

You can login to ZonEdit, click on the domain you want to edit.

Use the WebForward™ to point your domain to your web site.

Use MailForward™ to forward all mails to your existing email account.

WebPark™ will give you Parking Page if you don't have a web site.

There are more advanced options like Creating CNAME, A Record and MX Record.
