Dear Reseller,
Due to some complicated issues, we have to modify the Domain Renewal Grace [Hold] Period back to 15 days. Thus, domain names will get Deleted after 15 days from its Expiry date, if they are not Renewed by then.
Domain Renewal Grace [Hold] Period
----------------------------------
Earlier - 40 Days
Now - 15 Days
This change will affect your Customer's Expired domain names from TONIGHT 1.30 AM GMT/UTC, in the following fashion:
Domain Names Expired until 10 days since today
==============================
All domain names that have Expired BEFORE 20 April-2003, will continue to remain on Domain Renewal Grace [Hold] for the next 40 days.
For Example,
If a domain name Expired on 10-April-2003, it will be be Deleted after 40 days, on 20-May-2003.
Domain Names Expired since the last 10 days
==============================
All domain names that have Expired AFTER 20 April-2003, will be Deleted after 15 days [if it is not Renewed by then].
For Example,
If a domain name Expired on 25-April-2003, it will be be Deleted after 15 days, on 10-May-2003.
For Your Information
-----------------------
Domain Expiry - Every domain name registration remains in effect from 1-10 years from its Creation Date. If a domain name is not Renewed, after its registration period ends, the domain name is considered to be Expired.
Domain Renewal Hold Period - This is the period AFTER the domain name has Expired and BEFORE the Domain Name is Deleted. When a domain name is on Renewal Hold, any website associated with it is automatically disabled.
Domain Deletion [generally] - If a domain name is not Renewed AFTER its Expiry, it goes on Renewal Hold for a said number of days, depending upon the concerned Registrar's Policies, ranging from 1 to 45 days. Once the Renewal Hold Period ends and the domain name is still not Renewed, it is Deleted from that Registrar's database.
We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused to you and your Customers and will try to resolve this issue at the earliest. _________________ HostOnNet.com - Reseller Hosting
